Parks and Rebellion
With recreation spaces closed due to the Hong Kong Government's social distancing measures, residents and small businesses have adapted to using what little outdoor space is available to them. In light of the latest COVID-19 outbreak, the Government has kept swimming pools, playgrounds, recreation centres, and fitness centres closed for months on end. Undeterred and in need of physical activity, Hongkongers have adopted creative means to make use of these (restricted) public spaces.
